Everyday Skincare Routine

I figured it was time for me to do an Everyday Skincare Routine post as I always find myself searching for the best go-to products that beauty lovers are currently using. Within the last few years, I have become more and more obsessed with skincare and have really understood the importance of taking care of my skin, every single day. While some of the products that I have mentioned are slightly on the pricey range, there are several dupes out there that can provide similar benefits. But personally, these products all last for so long! There is so much product, and a little goes such a long way that it is certainly worth it.

everyday skincare routine

I thought I would share what I typically use every day of the week. While there are some days that I have more time to pamper myself with a good mask or scrub, what you see below is what I have diligently been using for the past few weeks.

Curious what I use on a daily basis for skincare products? Take a look below!

AM:

For my morning skincare, I like to keep it simple. Cleanse and moisturize. I really love the First Aid Beauty Cream Cleanser (this was actually a recommendation from Brooke, remember, we went to Cape Cod together!). It is super gentle and makes my skin feel really refreshed. I then follow up with moisturizer. I have been using the Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 and I LOVE this stuff. First off, it smells incredible. I use about four pumps for my face, and once it’s applied, it immediately sinks into my skin. Because it’s an oil, I feel like it moisturizes my face incredibly well and my makeup applies really nicely after I have allowed it to sink into my skin for a minute or two.

PM:

My favorite part of the day has to be taking off my makeup! There is honestly nothing more satisfying or refreshing. My first step in removing my makeup is using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – this has become one of my favorite makeup removers because it really really works! I just apply the micellar water to a cotton ball and it takes off mascara, foundation, brow pencil, you name it. Following that, I usually will go back in with my morning cleanser and give my face another cleanse just to ensure I have removed all of the makeup. Once I have pat dried my face, I will let my face air dry for about 20 minutes. This is in preparation for Retin-A. My dermatologist prescribed Retin-A to me when I was in high school and I have been using it ever since. I apply a pea-sized amount to my entire face every night, and I have really seen a difference in my acne since using this product.

everyday skincare routine

After applying Retin-A, I try to wait another few minutes before I go in with my Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil and my Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins. I have been finding that this combination does wonders for my skin. I’ll take a few drops of the argan oil, apply that to my skin (and hair and nails!), then go in with the Night-A-Mins and apply a thin layer. By the way, Night-A-Mins smells like those chocolate oranges that used to be all the rage. Jacob actually commented on how good the night cream smelled the other day, so you know that’s saying something! After apply this, my face is so moisturized and when I wake up in the morning, my face feel super refreshed. I really have not suffered from any dry skin patches since I started using these two products. The approaching winter months will be the next test!

Next, I apply my trusty lash serum. Ever since I had my first experience with lash extensions, I have been hooked on the Loreal Lash Serum. I mentioned this back in my winter beauty favorites post, but I could rave on and on about this stuff. I swear it has transformed my eyelashes. If you feel like your applying layer after layer of mascara, go out and spend the $14 on this stuff. Just the other day I went in for an appointment, and I was asked if my eyelashes were natural. I told the girl it’s a combination of great mascara and this serum. She said that afternoon she was going to go out and buy some – I’m telling you, this stuff is magic!

Finally, I finish up with my trusty Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Cream. I mentioned this in my Kiehl’s review post, and I can say with confidence that this is my favorite eye cream by leaps and bounds. I love the consistency, I have been loving (and seeing!) the benefits, and this product last so long. I’m still on my first container and still have at least another month of product left. So worth the money.

Kiehl’s Review

I had always been curious about trying Kiehl’s brand products, as a lot of celebrities have endorsed the brand and some of my favorite YouTubers were recommending products. After a dent in my wallet, a few Kiehl’s products arrived at my door step, and I was very happy with the outcome.

Creamy Under Eye Treatment with Avocado Oil

I had been looking for the perfect under eye cream, as I have tried several brands, but because my skin is so sensitive, I am always hesitant to try out something new. I was so happy with this cream – first off, it’s a beautiful green color, and the consistency is super creamy. It applies relatively thick, which I really like. I felt like my under eye area was extremely moisturized within seconds after I applied a thin layer. I have been using this religiously for the last few months and I can honestly say it’s a must have.

Ultra Facial Cream

I am so upset about this cream because I have officially run out of it! Not only did I run out of the full size, but I ran out of the deluxe sample as well. I really love this face cream because it was super hydrating and I found myself grabbing it both in the morning and night. The consistency is really nice, and it made for super easy make up application. I did find at times that it made my face sting in areas upon initial application. The stinging sensation would stop within a few seconds, so I’m not sure if it’s because I have sensitive skin or if this was supposed to happen. Either way, it did not irritate my skin one bit and I am really happy with the consistency of it and the amount of uses you can get out of it – a little really does go a long way. I am certainly repurchasing this.

Ultra Facial Cleanser

This has to be my all time favorite cleanser. And those are bold words. I still have a fair amount of product left and I have been using it every morning and a few nights a week to cleanse my face. It is super gentle and I found that my acne has been less frequent after using this. I just think it’s a great cleanser for any skin type – super gentle and makes your skin feel clean, but doesn’t feel like you stripped a layer off your face, as some cleansers feel. I would highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a new cleanser, or if you find that most cleansers irritate your skin. Love it.

Super Multi-Corrective Cream

I just recently started using the corrective cream more on a frequent basis (since I ran out of my Ultra Facial Cream!) and I really like this product. This is one of the Kiehl’s products that smells SO nice! I love the packaging (it’s a beautiful purple container) and the cream goes on so well. I usually will cleanse my face, apply my Retin-A, and then apply this corrective cream during my nightly skin routine. Overall I have just noticed my face feeling super hydrated in the morning and free of blemishes. If you’re looking for a night time cream that helps correct, I would recommend this.

Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Soothing Mask

This mask is amazing! I love the packaging of this as well and I love how the product is a beautiful green color! It smells unreal – it’s a super fresh scent that just smells like a dream. I find myself applying this before bed and leaving it on all night (the directions say you can leave on for a short period of time or overnight) and I have felt super hydrated the next day. It’s very soothing on the skin, especially after a long day in the sun. This may be one of my top Kiehl’s products!

Do you love Kiehls, too? Let me know what your favorites are in the comments!

3 Summer Products Every Beauty Lover Should Own

It’s summer 2016 and there are three products that every beauty-loving lady should own. Check out my absolute must-haves for when the weather is warm, the sun is shining, and you’re ready to glow!

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

If you need a palette, this is the palette. Three blushes, two highlight shades. This palette is incredible, and it is what every girl must own for the summer. Because this is a limited edition palette, I know a lot of folks are having trouble locating it in stores. That’s why I was in complete shock and awe that there was one (and when I say one, I mean literally one) palette left in my local Sephora. I actually got very excited and proclaimed my excitement to the girls working in Sephora – I think they may have chuckled.

Anyway, this palette is absolutely beautiful. It has the largest mirror that I’ve ever seen in a palette and the packaging is stunning. The two highlight shades are Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop. Champagne Pop is my all time favorite highlight – I had this pressed highlight shade already in my makeup collection, but I can’t say I was disappointed that it was also included in this palette. The pigment is unreal.

The other highlight shade is Prosecco Pop, which I also really love. It’s more of a medium shade, with warm gold shimmer. I think it’s the perfect color if you’re ready to bronze your look to its full potential.

As for the blushes, I’m a huge fan of all three. There is a mineral blush in Amaretto (which is a matte shade, and described as “toasted almond”) and   in Pamplemousse (which is also matte, and is a warm coral pink). Then there is the luminous blush in Rosé Spritz – this one stole my heart. It’s the perfect peachy blush, with a really light gold shimmer. And when I say it’s pigmented, it is pigmented. A little goes a long way, and I absolutely love it.

Long story short, #FindingChampagnePop – get your hands on the best palette of the year.

Hoola Zero Tanlines Allover Body Bronzer

If you’re anything like me, you want to be tan all summer long but you hate self tanning and you care too much about your skin to bake in the sun for a bronzy glow. I needed an alternative – that alternative is the Hoola Zero Tanlines Allover Body Bronzer. This body bronzer is seriously the best body bronzer I’ve ever tried (and I’ve used a good few in my day) and it really does the trick of making you appear tanned, when really you will hop in the shower in the evening and wash it all away.

First off, the packaging is beyond cute – it’s wearing a hoola skirt?! And whoever came up with the idea to include the blending sponge within the packaging is a genius – I love it. It’s hands-free, mess-free, and it doesn’t have that stinky self tanner scent. I love that it’s streak-free, buildable in color, has a 12-hour formula, and best of all – it’s matte.

If anyone knows what it’s like to be pastey this summer, it’s me. And I can guarantee you that there is hope, and that hope is wearing a hoola skirt.

Urban Decay All-Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

For those hot summer nights, this is the product that every beauty guru must find and purchase immediately. This is another magical product by the one and only Urban Decay, and it’s the All-Nighter setting spray. This spray goes on so lightly that I honestly cannot feel it once I’ve applied it. According to the product description, it lowers the temperature of your makeup to keep foundation, eyeshadow, blush and concealer in place – I’m not sure what kind of technology this is, but I know that it’s legit. After I do my makeup, I’ll do a quick spray all over my face (in the T motion) and I have found that my makeup stays significantly longer when using this product during the humid, hot days. Anything that can prevent my makeup from melting off my face when I immediately walk out the door is a check in my book.

What are you summer essentials? Let me know in the comments below what your must-have summer beauty products are!

sweet tarte: tarte cosmetics review

IMG_1648

tarte cosmetics has easily become one of my favorite makeup brands. Not only do I love what the cosmetic line stands for (including zero animal testing, naturally-based products, etc), but I can’t rave enough about how beautiful each and every one of their products is.

IMG_1645

When the Rainforest of the Sea collection arrived, I had to try at least a few bits and pieces from the line. My two absolute favorites have to be the Water Foundation and the Skin Twinkle Highlighting Palette.

The Water Foundation is a super lightweight, yet easily buildable, foundation that competes with my favorite NARS Sheer Glow. The consistency is quite “watery”, but I find it applies beautifully both with my trusty Beauty Blender or a foundation brush. I love that this foundation has SPF 15 in it, because while I never skimp on moisturizer, it’s nice to have a little extra coverage with the summer sun in full effect. I also love the packaging – the foundation is dispensed through a dropper, keeping application neat and clean, and saving a lot of product. Plus, I’m a sucker for anything gold.

IMG_1664
The Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette might be my favorite palette I own at the moment. The packaging literally “twinkles”. This is the perfect highlighting palette – it offers three shades, all very wearable, and all even more stunning in person. Again, I love the packaging, and I love that there is SO much product in this palette. I’ve had this since early spring, and I use it every single day – I’ve hardly made a dent in it. The middle shade is matte, and a perfect setting powder for your concealer. I also find that it works great as an all-over lid primer – just apply a thin layer before eyeshadow application. The left shade is sort of a toned down highlight – if you’re looking for a more natural glow, this is your go-to. But I cannot lie, the winner is the right shade – this rose gold shimmer just steals my heart. It’s such a beautiful highlight – I love to apply it on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and cupids bow.

IMG_1673
Next, is one of the best mascaras I’ve tried to date, the Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara. I received a sample of this through a Sephora purchase a few months ago and I was so sad when the day came that all the product was gone. I ended up purchasing the full size and have been reaching for it ever since. It gives great volume and length, and I really love the brush – it separates my lashes without compromising volume. If you’re looking for something a little bit more high end than a drugstore mascara, I highly, highly recommend the Tarteist.

IMG_1676
I’ve also been loving all of the Tarte Amazonian Clay collection. One of my favorites in the range is the Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush. I have this blush in the shade “Blissful” and am loving it for the summer time. It’s the perfect pinky-peach shade, with a dash of shimmer. I’m almost out of this product since I’ve been reaching for it ever since it arrived at my door step – it’s just a great every-day blush that adds just the right amount of pop to your cheeks.

I’m also a huge fan of the Smooth Operator finishing powder (totally forgot to snap a photo)! It’s seriously the most perfect setting powder for concealer, or to just tone down any shine.

Any tartlettes out there who love these products too? Let me know what some of your favorites are!

All NARS Everything

IMG_1529-3

IMG_1521-3

IMG_1527-2

NARS is one of my all time favorite makeup brands, so I decided it was time to pay homage to a company whom I hold so near and dear to my heart. If you haven’t tried any of the NARS brand, I beg of you, go out to Sephora and pick something up. While NARS doesn’t fall under “drugstore makeup”, the value of the products makes the price tag worth it. Below are some of my favorite NARS products to date.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

One of the first NARS products I discovered was the Sheer Glow Foundation, and to this day, it remains as one of my top medium-coverage foundations. This foundation provides the perfect amount of coverage, keeping you dewey and even. I like applying it with my beauty blender, or my Real Techniques foundation brush, for a really even finish. I also found that while you can set with a powder, this foundation will not crease or budge if you decide to skip that step. I use the shade Mont Blanc in the winter, and can move up to Vallauris for the summer. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend this product!

NARS Audacious Mascara

I received a sample of the NARS Audacious Mascara, and I was surprised by A. how many uses I got out of the product and B. how well it worked on my lashes. If you’re looking for a new mascara, I would recommend trying out a sample of the Audacious Mascara for yourself. What I like most about this mascara is that it’s very buildable – I like being able to do two or three coats without having clumps to comb out.

NARS Concealer

It was a sad day when my NARS Concealer was empty! I absolutely love this concealer – great consistency, great coverage, and easy application. Overall, a really great versatile concealer. I use this concealer under my eyes to brighten the area, around my nose to cover redness, and to cover any blemishes. A little bit of the product also goes a long way, which is always a plus.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

Looking for that perfect red lip? This lip pencil will do the trick. While I’m more of a pinky-nude lip girl, a red lip really is something I love to play with when I’m feeling daring. The Velvet Matte Lip Pencil applies really smoothly and stays put throughout the day. I love that it’s matte, but it still has a creamy finish that doesn’t dry out my lips. While I only have this in scarlet red (shade: Cruella), I would love to pick up colors like Belle De Jour and Bettina.

LUSH Favorites: Face Masks

IMG_1194
I absolutely love LUSH. What is amazing (but unfortunate for my wallet) is the fact that there is a LUSH store located less than an hour away from me. Their face and body masks are my favorite – looking at quality and price, they are the best of the best. Two of my go-to masks are “Cup  O’ Coffee” and “Mask of Magnaminty”. Both of these masks are perfect for any skin type, they smell amazing, they feel amazing, and they work!

Cup O’ Coffee smells divine and it really exfoliates my skin without being too harsh. It’s the perfect start to my day and it leaves my face so soft and clean.

IMG_1173IMG_1199

Mask of Magnaminty is the perfect all-around minty mask. It’s a little tingly (from the peppermint) and my skin feels amazing once I wash it off. LUSH recommends using this mask weekly to keep your skin in good shape – I can definitely get on board with that routine.

IMG_1175IMG_1201

Finally, while this isn’t a face mask, I have to share my love of the Salted Coconut Hand Scrup! Every time I go into LUSH and am ready to pay at the register, the sales associate will ask if I saw anything I’d like to sample. Obviously, you know my response. This was my most recent sample choice, and I absolutely love it! The smell is so yummy (reminds me of summer and the beach) and it left my hands silky smooth, which is perfect for my poor winter hands.

IMG_1188

Can I just say how excited I am about LUSH’s Valentine’s Day range? I think that lip scrub is calling my name.

DIY Green Tea Body Scrub

This three ingredient DIY body scrub is heavenly. I love a good body scrub, but I find that the price tag is often a little much for my liking. I’m also guilty of using a scrub so quickly that it’s gone in a blink. I started making my own body scrubs last year, and I fell in love. It’s super quick, easy, and works just as effectively (plus, nowhere near as damaging on your wallet). I usually make homemade scrubs with vanilla extract or I’ve even been known to simply add to a scrub that’s running low (ex. I’ll throw in some additional sugar to extend the product’s life). Here is my DIY Green Tea Body Scrub – try it out and let me know what you think!

What you’ll need:

White sugar
Coconut oil
Green tea
Boiling water
Empty plastic container

IMG_1123 (1)IMG_1120 (1)IMG_1136 (1)IMG_1127IMG_1148IMG_1138 (1)
The first thing you’ll need to do is grab some sort of empty plastic container – I saved a body scrub container that I ran out of, cleaned it, and dried it. Next, add a green tea bag into a mug of boiling water, and let it brew. Add sugar into your container (there are no specific measurements here, simply add a desired amount, just ensure to leave enough space for additional ingredients). After letting you green tea brew for a few minutes, add a few spoonfuls to your sugar and stir. Grab your coconut oil and fully combining into your sugar mixture. Next, grab another green tea bag and pour about half of the tea bag into your mixture – depending on the size of your mixture, you can certainly use the entire tea bag. Finally mix your body scrub until your desired consistency. My body scrubs are always more on the dry side – I don’t want the body scrub to be too “soupy”, since I will already be using it with water (while I’m taking a shower or bath). If you find your scrub is too watery or too dry, it’s a quick fix! Either add additional liquids (brewed tea or coconut oil) if it’s too dry, or add more sugar if it’s a bit too wet.

Throw the lid on your container and place in your shower or bath so you remember to use it during your next spa day – it will not only exfoliate (from the sugar and tea leaves), but will also moisturize thanks to the coconut oil.

Let me know some of your favorite body scrubs in the comments below!

Winter Beauty Empties

Oribe Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray

This spray came in a Birchbox I received, and I’m obsessed (I’m actually saving up my points to buy the full size in the Birchbox shop). This spray smells incredible and adds so much texture to my hair, without making it crunchy. I was able to achieve a really piecey, tousled look – it is perfect for the summer, and necessary to stock up on.

Urban Decay NAKED Flushed Palette

This was one of my very first palettes, and I was really happy with how long this lasted! I was a huge fan of the highlighter in the center of the palette. The blush and bronzer on both sides were also nice shades. I would definitely recommend this palette to anyone looking for a highlighter, bronzer, and blush trio. I liked swirling all of the shades together and applying during the warmer months – it gave me a nice glow. My palette was in the shade “Native”.

Bare Minerals Matte Foundation

The first foundation I ever used was a Bare Minerals, and I have since then have strayed away from the brand. I did, however, purchase the matte foundation for the summer – I had never used matte makeup since I love a dewey finish, but I was excited to try it out. I wasn’t 100% happy with the level of coverage of this foundation, or the shade (I used “Fairly Light”). I do think it could add a nice finish over a liquid foundation for summer to control oil, but I’m not planning on repurchasing in the near future.

100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream

I absolutely love this eye cream! This was another Birchbox sample that I couldn’t get enough of. This stuff smells so good – Jacob always asked why I smelled like cocoa puffs. This eye cream was so gentle and moisturizing. I’ve attempted to cut open the packaging, just so I can get every last drop out of it! I’d definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a new eye cream.

SheaMoisture Hand & Body Scrub

Body scrubs are my favorite year-round product, so I was so sad when I ran out of this one! I used the Lemongrass & Ginger scent from SheaMoisture, and I loved it. It made my skin silky soft, and the smell was divine. While it’s a little pricey for the amount product in the container, but a little goes a long way.

Klorane Dry Shampoo

I received this dry shampoo in a Birchbox. I can’t live without dry shampoo, so this really didn’t last long. Klorane’s dry shampoo served its purpose – it absorbed excess oil and gave my day-old hair a refresh. I don’t know that I would purchase the full size – I’m still exploring the dry shampoo world to find my holy grail.

What are some of your winter empties? Let me know below.

3 Lazy Girl Hair Styles

When my alarm goes off at 5:45am, the first thing on my mind is certainly not my hair. I like hair styles that are quick, easy, and look like you actually put some time into them.  I’m also a fan of getting my hair out of my face and off my neck – so a ponytail, braid, or top knot are a must. These three hair styles are some of my go’s for that early morning rush or lazy Sunday. All three are crazy simple, quick, and (at least in my opinion!) look super cute.

Side French Braid Pony

french braid pony tail french braid pony tail

Braids are the perfect hair trick for all lazy girls (aka, me). Adding a simple braid on the side of your head after your third day of dry shampooed hair adds a nice touch, and makes it appear that you gave some effort. As long as you know how to french braid, you’ll be all set with this one. Part your hair to your preferred side. Next, take a section of your hair (or your bangs) and begin to french braid. Here, however, I only added in sections at the front of my face, not adding any hair to the braid from the other side. You can certainly do a traditional french braid if you please, I just find that by only adding sections from the front makes the braid look a bit tidier (and it’s simpler). Secure the braid with an elastic. Gather your hair into a low ponytail. In the above photo, I left in the clear elastic that hold the braid – you can certainly remove that once your hair is all secured in the pony. Finally, take a section of your ponytail, and wrap it around the elastic that is holding it in place. Bobby pin to secure. The bobby pin adds a nice touch, because it hides that thick ponytail holder and makes it appear a bit more polished.

Dutch Side Braid
                                                                     dutch braiddutch braid

I recently discovered the difference between french braids and dutch braids, and I have to say, I love both equally. The only difference in dutch braids is that instead of taking pieces and crossing over while you braid, you’re going to cross sections under each other. It’s very simple once your hands get the hang of it, and in my case, it’s a go-to when my hair is a day old and I just need something quick and simple. Here, I parted my hair on the side and dutch-braided the opposite side, securing with a clear elastic and bobby pinning behind my ear. My hair was a bit wavy here which I liked. I’m a big fan of this hair style because it’s a bit on the messy side and, in my opinion, a great look for the summer when your hair has more texture and you can have that “just-got-back-from-the-beach” look.

Ballerina Top Knot

IMG_1960top knot
Oh, the top knot. How simple and perfect you are. This style seriously couldn’t get any simpler. Gather all of you hair into a ponytail at your desired height (I like my top knots to be placed right at the top of my head). Take your ponytail and twist. Take the twisted pony tail, and pull around to form a bun. Grab another hair elastic and secure the bun in place. Then adjust to your desire. I like to pull the top knot so that it expands and becomes a little messy. I also loosen the hair at the top of my head so that it’s not so “slicked back”. Secure any loose pieces with bobby pins and a few spritz of hair spray to finish it off.

Are you a pro at some other lazy girl hair styles? Let me know below!

Winter Beauty Favorites

IMG_0613IMG_0547 (1)IMG_0563IMG_0585IMG_0576IMG_0587IMG_0567IMG_0560IMG_0578IMG_0596

Winter is here! And with a new season comes new beauty favorites and obsessions. I wanted to share some of my favorite beauty products at the moment, many of which are close to being empty – see more on my Winter Beauty Empties post!

ARI by Ariana Grande

I don’t think I’ll ever purchase another perfume (I’m only half kidding). This scent is said to remind us of marshmallow and vanilla, with hints of musk and fruity notes. I’d say that’s a fair description. I think it smells like perfection. Unfortunately this is one I’m running low on – don’t worry, the rollerball is on my Christmas list.

Perversion Mascara by Urban Decay

I was lucky enough to get this bad boy as a sample when I made a trip to Ulta. This is an ultra-creamy mascara that give amazing length and volume. I’m a HUGE fan of the brush. This mascara made my lashes massive. Of course the tube is pretty much fully dried out, so I’m planning on purchasing the full size once I’m in need of a new mascara (aka right now).

Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel by Benefit

This right here is a holy grail beauty item of mine. I will never use another eyebrow gel. I discovered this a year or so ago and I honestly can say I can’t go out of the house without my Gimme Brow on. It makes my eyebrows full and defined, while keeping them natural – they don’t look like they were drawn on (I can’t stand that!). Whenever anyone comments on my brows, I never fail to name drop Benefit’s magic. It lasts all day, it’s builable, and it’s SO easy to use. I use the shade “Medium/Deep”.

Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush by Too Faced

I discovered this last month and am completely obsessed. This blush gives the perfect amount of color with a beautiful highlight. The blush compact comes in an adorable heart shaped box and contains three shades which can either by used on their own or swirled together to create a custom shade or highlight. The blush is also baked, which allows for a seamless buildable color. I have a feeling this will become a holy grail item for me, as I use it every single day, and I think the peachy-ness will be perfect for the summer time. I use the shade “Peach Beach”.

MAKE Skin Illuminator

I received this product in my last BirchBox, and while it’s a sample size, I am getting tons of uses out of this! This illuminator is a part skin-perfecting base and part highlighter. It also include tone-correcting ingredients while creating a pearly, illuminating glimmer. I absolutely love this product on my cheekbones, and I even apply a little up through my temples. It works beautifully over my foundation or BB cream, and a little really does go a long way!

dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion Exfoliator

I’m a huge dr. brandt fan, so it was no surprise when this came is a Sephora box full of sample that I would be in love. This exfoliator is known to reduce the look of enlarged pores and reduce shine. I try to use this once a week (sometimes twice during this time of year) and I instantly feel refreshed. My skin always feels so smooth and soft. While the full size is a little on the pricey side, I do highly recommend this for someone looking for a new exfoliator.

Loreal Lash Serum

In the beginning of this year I had eyelash extensions applied, and while I loved them, I didn’t love the end result. Several of my lashes fell out and my lashes became shorter and stubbier than they were before the extensions. I became super self conscious, so I decided I needed to find something to help them grow back. I found this gem of a product and I can honestly say that it’s my top favorite drugstore beauty item. Not only did I find that my eyelashes grew back, but they grew back fuller and longer. I constantly have people asking me what kind of mascara I’m using or if I have extensions on again, and every time I inform them of this product. With a clean face, apply this every night (on top and bottom lashes) and trust me, the results will be worth it.

Fabulips Sugar Lip Scrub by Bliss

This sugar scrub is a life saver. My lips get insanely chapped during this time of year, so having a lip scrub once or twice a week is the perfect solution. This lip scrub gently exfoliates my lips with sugar, almond and walnut shell. It’s also full of natural oils, butters, and vitamins. If you’re planning on a red lip before that holiday part, have a quick lip scrub and those smoochers will thank you! And just with the Skin Illuminator, a little bit goes a long way, so I advise to use sparingly!

Revlon Nail Color in Vixen

I have been searching high and low for a beautiful burgundy, purple shade for my nails. I looked at Essie and OPI and I still couldn’t pick out the shade that I had envisioned in my head. I stumbled upon this color in a drugstore (you can also find this at Ulta) and fell in love. I love that it’s not too purple, and has just the right about of red undertones that I was looking for. I think it’s the perfect shade for fall and winter!
